Love NZ Fashion

The low down of this years New Zealand Fashion week Autumn/Winter 2012
Who peeked at number 1 and what designers made an impression????
note: my opinion, not factual

ZAMBESI  #1#1#1

Designers Elisabeth Findlay and Dayne Johnston shocked everyone this year with their sudden use of "colour."
For those who are familiar with label will know their collections traditionally use black, chocolate and charcoal, but this Autumn/Winter, pops of yellow and blue has been accepted into the Zambesi family. .  Hooray!

Designer Standouts . . .

RUBY

Rubys play on tangerine, mustard, emerald, rose, teals and shiny metallic placed her at the top of my list.

LONELY HEARTS

Always a personal favourite, Lonely Hearts, again, took my breath away with their use of navy, mustard and stripes of maroon.  Simple and stylish as always.

 DERYN SCHIMDT

Wellington designer Deryn Schmidt proved he is amongst the best featuring truly feminine clothes inspired by the 40s. Raspberry and blueberry - be seeing you in winter.

Round up -
So it seems spring summers block coloured trend has continued into next season. Keep a hold of your spring summer wardrobe girls, looks it will be accompanying winter.

  1. Would it be un-Asutralian of me to say that I have been more impressed with what I have seen in NZ then I have here at home. I absolutely loved the Ruby collection and those neon yellow colours teamed with grey just made my heart flutter a little.
